About these terms
These terms explain how engagements with Isle Bree Accounting Services work. The full terms of any engagement are set out in the engagement letter we agree with you before work begins; where this page and that letter differ, the letter wins.
Our services
We provide accountancy services including accounts preparation, tax compliance, bookkeeping and payroll, as described on our services pages and in your engagement letter. Advice given in a free initial consultation is general guidance only and does not create an ongoing engagement.
Fees
Our pricing is transparent and agreed with you in advance. Fees are normally billed monthly or at completion of the agreed work, as set out in your engagement letter. If anything looks likely to change the fee, we tell you first.
What we ask of you
- Provide accurate, complete records and information in good time.
- Tell us promptly about changes in your business that affect your accounts or tax.
- Keep your own copies of the records you hand to us.
Meeting deadlines depends on the information we receive. If records arrive late, filing deadlines may move, and we will always tell you as soon as we know.
Confidentiality
Everything you share with us stays confidential, except where the law requires disclosure (for example to tax authorities or under anti-money laundering legislation) or where you ask us to share information with a named third party.
Switching to or from us
If you join us from another accountant, we manage the professional handover for you. If you ever leave, we will cooperate fully with your new accountant, and our final fees for work done remain payable.
Liability
We carry professional indemnity insurance appropriate to our work. Our liability for any claim relating to an engagement is limited as set out in the engagement letter. We are not liable for losses caused by incomplete or inaccurate information supplied to us.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms and any engagement with us are governed by the law of the Isle of Man, and any dispute will be dealt with by the Isle of Man courts.
