Who we are
Isle Bree Accounting Services ("we", "us") is an accountancy practice based on the Isle of Man, providing accounts, tax, bookkeeping and payroll services to owner-managed businesses. You can contact us at alison@islebreeaccounting.im or on 07624 438260.
What data we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name, business name, email address, phone number and the contents of your messages.
- If you become a client, the financial records, identity documents and business information needed to act for you.
- Basic technical information your browser sends when you use this website.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and arrange consultations.
- To provide the accountancy services you engage us for, including statutory filings and payroll.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money laundering requirements and record keeping rules that apply to accountancy practices on the Isle of Man.
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing emails you have not asked for.
Where your data is stored
Client records are held in secure, password-protected cloud systems, including Xero, which may store data on servers outside the Isle of Man under appropriate safeguards. Paper records, where they exist, are kept securely at our premises.
Who we share it with
- Isle of Man and UK tax authorities and other regulators, where the law requires it, for example when filing returns on your behalf.
- Software providers such as Xero, strictly as processors acting on our instructions.
- Professional advisers or authorities where disclosure is required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for as long as you are a client and for the periods required by accountancy and tax law after an engagement ends. Enquiry details that do not lead to an engagement are kept for a short period and then deleted.
Your rights
Under Isle of Man data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and in certain circumstances to have it deleted or its use restricted. Write to alison@islebreeaccounting.im and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner.
